• Local Room Database: All flashcards, study decks, tags, study logs, custom color themes, font preferences, and SRS (Spaced Repetition System) progress data are stored locally in an encrypted/sandboxed SQLite database on your Android device.
• No Cloud Sync or Server Storage: Your study content never leaves your physical device unless you explicitly export or share a JSON deck file using Android's native share feature.
• No Account Required: You can use 100% of the app features without logging in, providing an email address, or registering an account.

3. Android Permissions & Hardware Usage

Flashcard Maker requests minimal device capabilities solely to deliver core interactive features:

• Vibrate Permission (android.permission.VIBRATE): Used exclusively to deliver subtle tactile haptic feedback during card flips, swipe gestures, and quiz option selections.
• Accelerometer (Device Sensor): Used temporarily during study sessions for the optional "Shake to Shuffle" gesture. Sensor readings are processed locally in real-time and are never logged or stored.
• Text-to-Speech (TTS): Utilizes Android's native offline Text-to-Speech system engine to read flashcards aloud when the audio button is tapped. No speech transcripts or audio recordings are transmitted or stored by Flashcard Maker.

4. Third-Party Services & SDKs

Flashcard Maker contains no third-party tracking, advertising, or analytics software:

• No Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics SDKs
• No AdMob or advertising networks
• No social media login or tracking plugins
• No telemetry or crash report collectors sending data off-device

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Flashcard Maker complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play Family Policy requirements. Because our application does not collect, request, or share any personal information from anyone, it is completely safe for use by children under the age of 13.

6. Data Control, Deletion, and Export

You maintain full control over all data created within Flashcard Maker:

• Data Export: You can export any deck to a standard JSON format to save or backup locally.
• Data Deletion: You can delete individual cards or entire study decks at any time directly within the app.
• Complete Data Removal: Clearing the app data in Android Settings (Settings > Apps > Flashcard Maker > Storage > Clear Data) or uninstalling the app permanently removes all stored flashcards and history from your device.
